the Getty Center

Today I went to the Getty Center with my uncle's family.  Michael chose to Getty Center by himself instead of going home and swimming. He was a good boy today haha. The other hand, Juliana was my little tour guide today.

There were all the white buildings in Getty Center. It felt clean and comfortable. The architecture
 was magnificent and awesome.

In J. Paul Getty Museum, I saw some paintings of Monet and van Gogh. The most impressive one was Irises painted by van Gogh. I think it is also the most precious treasure in their collection. Besides, I saw a painting called Sunrise which is similar with the most famous painting of Monet, Impression, Sunrise (Impression, soleil levant). It also painted by Monet. I was so excited with it. Then we went to see the gorgeous French rooms in 1600~1800. All the furniture were splendid and shining.

Today was a perfect day.

The Same Dream

" We can make a group! " He said.

Ryota makes movies, Jose composes music for film, and I sell it !!

It sounds great ! haha

I am happy for choosing the drama class and met some friends whose job or major is about films.

They all will be my precious assets in the future.(人脈)

Survey the Scene

We will make a short film in the drama class, and I decided to join the director team.

It's about a little stupid story adapted from Harry Potter, called "Happy Potter" >"<

Today Ryota, a Japanese who can speak Chinese very well, and I started our homework of director team. We need to decide the location of scene and the camera, draw story board, and
 plan the shooting schedule.

We went to survey the scene first, discussed the story board and tried to overcome the challeges in the screenplay. I like these works! First time I think I am really making a film. It's awesome!

I think I am fortunate to meet Ryota in the drama class. He is already a film student, so he has lots of professional knowledge of film. There are many professional advices from him in our discussion. Finally there is someone can answer my many questions about film and the future. I learned a lot fom him. I am very thankful about this!

The Drama class

I finally took my first drama class in UCLA what I've desired for a long time.
The class is perfect. The professor Scott is professional and nice. I though I will learn a lot from this drama class.

" What does he want? "
" How does he get it? "

These two things are an actor should think about when he tries to figure out how to play a character.

When acting something, you need to really do something!

JouYu

Jou-Yu is named by my mom. I love it very much. "Jou" which is represent "柔" means gentle even though I am not really a gentle person. "Yu" which is represent "宇" means  the space. I remember that a teacher had told me the word "universal" in Chinese has two word combined wirh, one means space ,the pther one means time.

I was surprise that my grammar teacher prefer calling me Jou-Yu! She said she has a friend who are from Taiwan called Jou-Yu, too.

No wonder yesterday she could remember my name when I told her in the first time . XD

But I like my English name, Jodi, too. It's similar with Jou-Yu. I chose the name to be similar with my original name purposely.  I also think the name "Jodi" is like me. What do you think? >_O
"Are you feeling homesick right now?" This is one example question in today's grammar course handout. We play a game and we have to ask someone one question like this. When somebody ask me : "Hey Jodi,  Are you feeling homesick right now?" I always say no. I don' t really feel homesick. Maybe I am an adaptable person haha!

Every morning I wake up, I see many people in different colors, strangely I didn't feel something change in my life. All the people in different colors walk and be going to do their duties in a peace mood. It just should be like this!

The first day in class

Today is the first day to take the classes. The teachers all are witty.
In America, we should call teachers with their name, not "teacher".
They encourage us to speak English out loud and don't fear of making mistake!

              No question is stupid.
No language learning without making errors!

We have three classes today, and all the teachers said just make mistake!=D

There are 16 students in my class, seven from Japan, four areTaiwanese including me, two are korean, and one from Saudi Arabia. ( I am sorry for that I can' t remember where the other two classmate come. >"< )

I have talked with some Japanese new friends today in English . I am happy for that even though my English is not fluently at all. I hope I can make some international friends who can keep in touch even though we go back to our country in six weeks. Though I am not good at socializing, but I will try my best!

Today a Japan boy spok to me in Japanese beacause he thoght I am look like Japanese =口=!! Really?????  I heard that from my mother too. Am I really look like Japanese?  In fact I can' t see the difference of Chinese, Japanese and Korean, just from our appearance.

BTW, I think I am darker and darker. T_T
I found the Anderson College, the graduate school of Management, in the UCLA campus today!
I am very excited about this. The architecture is bueaty and spectacular!
